is this some kind of sick joke?

Sick?
Joke?
We're just saying the guy is dead and can therefore no longer sing, and you think its a joke??
You're a truly, truly sick and sad individual.

In case you haven't noticed Brad Delp is dead.

 Well spotted - the consequence of that being that he can no longer vocabularise
parakeethands (November 26, 2008 at 6:37 pm)
yes the vocabularization has gone into the mode of devocabularization being that he has expired. this happens as well as other things when one expires.

i still liked the tones on the first boston record the best.then it became very fake sounding, very compressed, very thin and VERY NOISY. I did buy one of his Rockmans (looking for that tone from the first record) and it doesn't sound like that at all-if you listen carefully you can hear how noisy his effects are.I ended up with a Marshall (100W), dunlp wah, a Boss Digital Delay and a Smallstone Phase shifter. I'd like to know what he did to get the tone on the first Boston record.

I can only partially agree with you. The sound did get thin but that was AFTER the second album. The problems began with the third album. The music was good but by then he had started to use Rockman gear. What you like less is the second album sound which I love as much as the first album's. It's definitely different but thin is that last thing it is. Listen to the lead on Don't Look Back. It took me forever to get my equipment to sound that thick. Does it sound processed? You bet. I love it!

The undisputed master of tone. Saw Boston live this past summer and experienced the Rockman sound first hand. Incredible doesn't even begin to define what I heard that night. I've been buying Rockman equipment left and right ever since.

Tom is an absolute genius. I'd love to hang out and jam with him for just a day. :)
