Real tonewheel sound.  For decades the only way to get that sound was by investing money and muscle hauling around an enormous Hammond organ.  Then in 2000 the CX-3 single manual combo organ came through with it’s classic sound using advanced DSP technology.  Reecreating the tone-wheel system, Korg has returned the Hammond sound.  Two different tone-wheel sounds are provided: "VINTAGE" and "CLEAN." The CX-3 and BX-3 's allows you to add the "leakage" noise and adjust overtone levels and add and tweak the percussion / key-click / dirty contacts effect that gives a real tone wheel organ its unique character.

Drawbars

The CX-3 and BX-3 feature two sets of nine sound shaping drawbars with proper foldback settings and harmonic distortion. Switch between the presets and  two sets of "live" drawbars while performing.   With 128 programs, the CX-3 and BX-3 are ready for pop, hard rock, jazz, gospel, and rhythm and blues. Settings can be easily edited and stored. Thanks to players like Derek Sherinian, Bill Champlin, Tom Coster, Greg Phillinganes, Al Kooper, Dr. Lonnie Smith and Brian Auger, the BX-3 and CX-3 have artists' "signature" sounds plus voicings that take advantage of this wonderfully crafted organ. Korgs modeling technology creates rotary speaker and spatial effects that make the sound really come alive!
